Trustees Wanted

Way Ahead Support Services is seeking to appoint trustees.

So what is expected of a Way Ahead Support Services Charity Trustee?

As a Trustee you would act in the best interest of the charity and be actively involved in the decision making that takes place. Trustees meet regularly every other month. It is desirable that Trustees attend these meetings on a regular basis and contribute to the discussions that take place within them.

Charity Trustees must act together for the benefit of the charity – this role is one of monitoring so that you are aware of what the charity is doing and that it is meeting its legal requirements. You need to be sure  the charity is meeting the needs of the people that it sets out to help.

As a charity Trustee you are a volunteer, however travelling expenses can be reimbursed.

If you feel you would like to fill this important role or to find out more information then please contact us via our website, by telephone or post. Further information is also available from the Charities Commission for England and Wales, guidelines from which the Board of Trustees at Way Ahead follow closely.
