Steve is taking on an extraordinary challenge to raise money for Way Ahead Support Services by walking all the way from Land’s End to John o’Groats. He hopes to complete this incredible journey in around 60 days with few rest days added on, tackling each day step by step after months of dedicated training and preparation. The commitment, determination, and heart Steve has shown are truly inspiring, and we think what he’s doing is nothing short of amazing.
We’ll be right there with him along the way, sharing regular daily updates and photos so you can follow Steve’s epic journey, celebrate his milestones, and cheer him on as he continues forward. Be sure to check back on the blog regularly to share in Steve’s challenge and experience as it unfolds.
Way Ahead Support Services feel incredibly proud and privileged that Steve has chosen to support the charity, with all funds raised going towards the purchase of a new minibus for the organisation. Through Steve’s incredible effort, every step he takes helps us move forward and continue making a positive difference for the people we support.

📍 May 5th, 2026 – Steve has officially begun his journey, completing an impressive 19.51 miles on his very first day.

📍May 7th, 2026 - Day 3
Still clocking up the miles and yes, a few selfies — because even epic walks need evidence.

May 8th, 2026 - Day 4- The miles kept coming today — 16.5 in total — but so did the moments, including a beautifully timed stretch of coastline.

May 8th, 2026 - Day 5- The view says it all..

📍May 9th, 2026 - Day 6- Steve ticked off 19.5 miles today, cheered on by a group of cows who clearly couldn’t be bothered to stand up but watched on from the comfort of the grass.
📍May 10th, 2026 - Day 7
As the photos reveal, today wasn’t without its challenges. Steve avoided a low branch but was caught out by a tree stump, leaving him injured along the way. Still, he refused to let it derail the day, completing just over 17 miles.
